Road to Recovery Day 2: Long walks and Old memories

After finishing my blog post from day 1, I received an email from college about student contrition fees and lets just say my anxiety came back fighting, I guess I'm just so fecking frustrated with college and I just want to be done with it!

I really let it get to me. So I went to bed and watched TV, with some rice cakes and organic peanut butter.

Well I had a better start to day 2, I woke up nice and early, had a Lovely breakfast and binged watched Friends, that show never gets old!

Later I put on my work-out gear and went for a nice walk with my sister. We walked to her college, because she had to get forms signed. After leaving the college we decided to take the long way home because the weather was amazing. We stopped in the shop on the way back and bought a Calippo ice pop, child hood in a tube!

Walking home we talked about all the great memories we had as kids, going out for Sunday drives with our parents and getting 99's (ice cream cones) on the way home. We also laughed about that fact that 99s used to be 99p and now they are almost €2.50!

When I got home I chilled in the garden for a while, talking to my friend Emma on Facebook.

I later met Emma in town and we went for a coffee, although I said I was going on a diet, I had a little cheat day and got a caramel cake.

We sat and had a nice long chat, and then decided to go have a look in the local charity shops. Some times we find great little bargain like the 80's Ray bans I found for €1. But because we live in a small town these bargains are rare, most of the stuff are just old season Primark clothes.

I got a call off my dad asking me to collect him from the hospital (nothing serious just had a small procedure) as the nurse wouldn't let me out until someone collect him, because of the local anaesthetic.
Both me and Emma walked up to the hospital, which is about 30 minute walk from town, but the weather was nice so we didn't mind.

When I got home, I just chilled for the evening and looked back on the day.
I walked for almost 2 hours that day so I felt pretty good. By getting up early and doing things, I felt like I was getting more out of my day!

Going for the walk with my sister was great fun, talking about our childhood memories, I feel like looking back on fond memories is definitely a mood booster and it brings the happiness from the past into the present.

So what I learned from today is to get up early and do some exercise it really does make a difference.

Thank you for reading.
Love
Tanya
