Today's post is my favourite products from the month of May, Lets get started!
Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion Mist
I bought this spray at the beginning of the month, and I am obsessed with it!
It is the perfect scent for summer, it contains coconut and vanilla.
In the summer I don't really like to spray strong scents, I prefer something subtle.
It is a 250ml bottle, but I still find it fits in my bag perfectly and is easy to carry around.
The fact that it is a plastic bottle is also a plus, because I don't like to carry glass bottles in my bag, I'm very clumsy.
Collection Primed & Ready with Witch Hazel
This primer is relatively new from the Collection brand.
What I loved most about this primer, was the fact it had witch hazel infused in it.
For anyone who suffers with break outs this primer would be perfect!
I suffer with break outs a lot, and since I started using this primer, my break outs have been minimized and not as severe.
The primer itself is quite good, it keeps my make up in place all day, and considering the warm weather Ireland has been having, it definitely put the primer to the test, and I was pleasantly surprised it worked as well as it did.
The primer is quite inexpensive and is priced at €6.59 in Boots.
Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse
I honestly never used to wear tan, Ive only ever worn it 2-3 times in my life, it just was never something I was into.
I recently decided to give it a try, I'm as pale as a milk bottle and I wanted to give myself a bit of colour for the summer.
I never tan naturally, I just burn or get freckles, so this seemed to be the best option.
I went into Boots and I was overwhelmed with the different kinds of tan there was, and the prices were crazy. I then remember all the good things I heard about the Cocoa Brown tan from other bloggers and decided to try that one.
I now see what the big fuss was about, for someone who never properly applied tan before, it was quite easy.
There is an instant colour so you can see where you have applied and where you haven't.
For my first application I just allowed it to dry for 1 hour before I washed off the excess, just in case it was too dark, but it was a gorgeous golden brown. The second time I applied it I left it on over night and the colour was amazing. I usually get 3-4 days out of this tan which isn't bad. It doesn't go patchy like other tans I have used before, and it comes off really well when I use the Coco Brown Tough Stuff. For a beginner I would definitely recommend as it is easy to use and it is very affordable.
Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb
I suffer with very dry skin on my face, and finding a moisturiser that gives me that great hydration and no break outs, can be difficult.
I bought this in boots a little while ago to try it out. It sounded like the perfect moisturiser and for me it was, it is really hydrating and hasn't caused me to breakout.
What I like about the moisture bomb is it isn't a thick cream so it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It contains SPF 10, UVA/UVB protection which is very important for this time of the year.
It is a bit more expensive in comparison to other mositurisers and is priced at €10.99. Boots regularly have deals on skin care, so keep any eye out and you might get it for half price.
Moschino Sunglasses
Sunglasses are my weakness!
I am constantly buying new sunglasses, and I never get to wear them, because we see more clouds than sun in Ireland. Recently the weather has been great and the sun has been shining so Iv been pulling out the sunglasses. The pair I have been reaching for the most is my Moschino glasses I bought last summer. They are the perfect size for my small face and they don't slide off like other glasses do.
I don't usually spend a lot of money on sunglasses, because I have a tendency of breaking them, but I made the exception for these and another pair of Versace sunglasses. I have made it through the year without breaking them, here is to hoping I can get through another year!
The Happy Closet
Reading has always been a favourite hobby of mine, but when I was in college I just didn't have the time to read unfortunately. Although I didn't have the time to read I was constantly picking up books that I wanted to read once I was done.
One of those books was The Happy Closet by Annmarie O' Connor.
I recently decided to declutter my closet in the attempt to declutter my life, and I thought this book would be some help.
I recently decided to declutter my closet in the attempt to declutter my life, and I thought this book would be some help.
In the book Annmarie talks about the different types of shoppers, from the black widow to the secret shopper. The book helps you to identify the type of shopper you are, and shows you how to get past those habits that we all have. The book has definitely helped me, and I haven't finished it yet.
I learned that I am the type of person who holds onto clothes because of the memories that are behind them.
Google Play Music - APP
Everyone has Spotify, but I have Google Play Music. I discovered this app a while ago and didn't really know what it was, I then figured out it was just like Spotify.
I pay €9.99 a month and I have free access to LOADS of music that I can download or put into playlists. Once the music is downloaded you can listen to the app without having to use the WIFI or Mobile data.
There is a huge selection of music, so there is something for everyone!
I have deleted all music off my phone, because with this app I don't need all the music taking up space.
This app was definitely an investment and the best part is the fact you can pay for it using your phone credit, this way I don't have to put my card details on my phone.
Jeremy Scott The People's Designer Documentary - Netflix
Netflix has a great selection of fashion documentaries and among them was the documentary on Jeremy Scott, the designer for Moschino.
Moschino is one of my favourite designer brands!
I sat and watched the documentary with my boyfriend James and the 2 of us loved it, there was some good comedy in it too.
I was so happy to see how down to earth Jeremy is, the fact that Jeremy came up from nothing, and to be put down by a lot of design schools before catching his big break, was just so inspiring.
The documentary follows Jeremy around during his design process for one of his collections, and Jeremy himself talks about his past and how he got to were he is now.
The length of the documentary is 1hr 50mins, so if you ever have time to spare I would definitely recommend that you sit down and watch it.
If you have tried any of the things I have listed leave me a comment with your thoughts, I always love to hear other peoples opinions.
Thank you for reading.
Love,
Tanya
