Road To Recovery Day 13: Torrential Rain & A Productive Afternoon

There is nothing better than waking up on a Sunday morning knowing you don't have to go to college the next day!
I used to HATE Sunday's just because of college. Now they are amazing, I get to go out with my family for coffee and actually enjoy myself.
I woke up just before 12, had breakfast and watched some Youtube videos. I knew we would be going out for our usual Sunday coffee, so I got dressed early instead on lounging around in my pajamas.

We all got into the car and headed into town, we went to Marks & Spencers for our coffee. Instead of getting my usual iced coffee I decided to get a regular mocha. Myself and James shared a toasted cheese sandwich, because I wasn't in the mood for a full one, i was still stuffed from my breakfast.

I went into the food hall to pick up some fruit for the week, M&S can be expensive for their fruit but it all looks so nice, better than other supermarkets.

We didn't stay out long because the weather was getting pretty bad and my mam forgot she left clothes on the line in the garden, typical.
As much as I would love my summer to be warm and sunny, I can't help but love when there is torrential rain, well when I am indoors of course.
When I got home I decided to set up my camera and take pictures for a new blog post, probably wasn't the best idea considering the dark rain clouds made it almost impossible to get a good picture using natural light. I spent the guts of 2-3 hours taking the pictures, but it all turned out good in the end.

Later in the evening we dropped James home because he had to get ready for work on Monday. When I got home I sat in the sitting room editing the pictures for the blog post.
I was starting to get pretty tired so I went up and chilled in my room, I done some more blog work and watched The Vampire Diaries.
My friends Amy and Dani texted me saying they might pop in tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to having a little catch up and to chat about a few collaborations.

Today was a good day, I enjoyed going out with my parents and not having the stress and anxiety of having to go to college the next day.
I found it weird though, I feel like it hasn't hit me that I'm finished yet, probably because I still have to hand work up at the end of the summer.
Sitting here writing this post I actually got a wave of panic in my chest and I don't even know why. I feel like I definitely still have a long way to go before I can get back to normal, but I am determined to over come this obstacle and to change my life for the better. I promised myself I wouldn't let this be the rest of my life, you only live once, so enjoy it!

Thank you for reading.

Road To Recovery Day 12: A Kill Shot Pooing Bird & A Raspberry Coconut Loaf

I Woke up a little late today, probably because I ended up staying up pretty late window shopping on Littlewoods.
Myself and James got up and got all our things together to head to mine, when I got home I just had a quick breakfast and changed my clothes.

Today I needed to bring a top back to penny's (Primark) that I had bought for my night out with Amy and James.
We headed into town and went straight to penny's, I returned the top and bought an Essence mascara and another plain t-shirt.
We decided to go to Starbucks for a change, I really wanted my Iced Caramel Macchiato.

I decided I wanted to bake a Raspberry Coconut Loaf today (yes, just like the one from Starbucks), so we went to Tesco to get some of the ingredients, I got pretty frustrated because they didn't have all the items I needed.  I tried 2 other shops and they didn't have them either.

When we went back to mine, James and my family got the biggest laugh out of my misfortune, some how a bird managed to poo in my back pack!. Seriously I'm amazed at how it managed to poo into my string tied back pack, they have skill I will give them that. Unfortunately it managed to poo on my notebook that I carry with me, and there is no cleaning it. On the bright side I get to buy a new notebook! (I have an obsession with stationary and making lists, just in case you didn't know ha ha).

Dad felt bad for me and offered to bring us up to the bigger Tesco to get the rest of the ingredients. Going up there is always a mistake, we always come out with more than we went in for, and today wasn't any different. We ended up buying a pizza deal for €5, pizza, chicken and ice cream.

Back home we made our food and searched Netflix for a movie to watch, we ended up settling for a  thriller called Hush.

Before sitting down for the evening we started to make the loaf, it was fun baking together, it was something different than just sitting watching TV. I definitely think doing different activities together is much better than just having a routine.

While the loaf was baking we sat down to watch Netflix, instead of watching the movie, I ended up putting on a Documentary called Fresh Dressed.
It was about the history of Hip Hop/Urban Fashion, it was really interesting and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes fashion.

When the loaf was baked and chilled, I put on the jam and coconut, it was actually amazing!

After stuffing ourselves with the loaf, we sat down to watch the movie.
The movie was actually really good, it is only set in one place, but it was done well and definitely had me on the edge of my seat, I love a good Thriller!, If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Before going to bed I placed an order on Littlewoods, I just purchased a few things for the summer, I will do a haul when they get delivered.

I still have my notifications for my Facebook and email turned off, and it definitely was the best idea. Not once over the weekend did I jump any time my phone buzzed, because I knew it wasn't going to be them.
It was great not having that worry, and I definitely enjoyed my weekend more.
After baking I realised it was definitely more fun to do something different with my free time, I guess being at college I became a creature of habit. Hopefully I can start to do different things to break my routines.
Although I don't really want to give up my daily coffee date, I enjoy getting out of the house and chilling in the coffee shop having a chat with James, friends or who ever I am with.

Thank you for reading.
