Road To Recovery Day 42-48: Filming & Friends

God was I busy this week!
Ive been struggling to keep my blog up to date this week, mainly due to the fact Ive been working on some videos and college work.
The week wasn't very eventful, the first half of the week I filmed some videos for my channel and spent a few days editing them.

During the week I met up with my friend Emma, we went into town for coffee and some charity shop hunting!
Charity shopping used to be a regular thing for me and Emma, we would go hunting several days a week!
We have both been very busy the past few years so we don't get to do it often, but it was great to have a catch up!

The rest of the week I worked on my college work, I still feel like I'm not getting anywhere with it. I am starting to get worried as time is passing and quickly!

My anxiety was grand this week, I haven't had any triggers so everything has been grand!
I also haven't had anymore headaches this week, obviously my body must be used to the lower dose now. I'll be dropping to a lower dose at the beginning of August.

I've been trying my best to eat good this week, it has been difficult because iv been working and I always forget to eat or else I just eat convenience food, chocolate!

The next few weeks may also be quite on here, I will be working on my college work all day, everyday!
I will do a weekly update for the next few weeks, it just won't be daily.
I'm planning on filming this weekend, if I get it all edited I'll have them up during the week!

Apologises again for the lack of posts this week!

Thank you for reading.

June Favourites 2016

I honestly can't believe June has come and gone! It honestly hasn't felt like summer, with the weather Ireland has been having, it is just constantly raining!
On the bright side I have been enjoying some products this month and they are as follows!

 1. Optrex Eyeden Dazzling Eye Drops

I used to hate anything going into my eyes, including water! But after I got an infection in my eye, I ended up having to put drops in my eye everyday. I got so used to it that it didn't bother me any more!
I decided to get myself some eye drops to put in over the summer, just to give them a fresh dazzling look!
I got this product in boots for around €5, which is a decent price for eye drops!
I don't use these everyday, just the odd day. They are easy to use and they don't sting my eyes!
I've used them a few times over June, especially days when I wasn't wearing make up.

2. Victoria Secret Spray - Coconut Passion

I only realised this product was also in my May favourites!
I'm still loving this spray for the summer, it is very sweet and very strong so a little does go a long way!
Several stores in my town have started to sell these sprays, so I am planning to pick up a few more!
The Coconut passion is definitely my summer scent this year!

3.  Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Gel

My sister purchased this product a few weeks ago, and I had to give it a try for myself. It is a deep cleansing gel for make up brushes!
Usually it will take me on average 2 hours to clean all my brushes using baby oil and baby shampoo; Using this product it took me only an hour to do my brushes along with some of my sisters!
This gel works amazingly on brushes and on sponges, it foams up really well and you know it is working when it removes the pigment stains from your brushes!
I loved this product so much I went and purchased a bottle for myself! Overall AMAZING!

4. Topshop Amo Boots

Ah my trusty Topshop Amo boots, I have these bad boys over 3-4 years now, and as you can tell they are well worn!
I've been wearing these a lot lately, mainly due to the rain. I love to pair them with skinny black jeans rolled up at the ankles.
Although they are well worn, I think they age well, and the wear and tear just adds character!
They are definitely one of the best investments I ever made!

5. Over Sized Denim Jacket

I bought this jacket a few years back on sale in Bershka for €5, I know €5, I never ran so quick to the check out!
I hadn't worn it in ages, and over the past few weeks I've been wearing it non stop. It is light weight and perfect for those nasty not-so-summer days.
It is definitely playing a huge part in my summer wardrobe!

6. Marks & Spencer Back Pack

I never used to carry back packs, but this summer I have been won over by this beauty! My mam actually bought me this bag, it was on sale and she thought it was too good to pass up.
At first I didn't think I was going to wear it, but boy was I wrong. I just found it so handy, not having to carry a shoulder bag and it pretty much goes with everything!
As you can see from the strings it has some wear and tear, just shows you how much I've actually been using it!

7. Khloe Kardashian - Strong Looks Better Naked

I've been reading this book on and off over the month of June and so far I am really enjoying it.
The book is all about Khloe's journey to a better self. She talks about how going to the gym helped her to escape from her troubles, and how everything else (body and mind) fell into play because of her regular gym visits.
I have found the book to be VERY motivational, since I read it I feel more determined to make myself healthier and to get my weight down once and for all, but doing it the right way!
I will do a better review of this book once I am finished :)

8. Scream - The TV Show

This show has definitely made it to my list of best TV shows!
I look forward to seeing it every week, it never fails to disappoint!
It is currently on the second season, but there is only 10 episodes in the first season, so it wouldn't be hard to catch up on, wink wink!
The full first season is up on Netflix, and the new season is updated every week!
If you like Drama and Suspense, with a little bit of a scare, then you will definitely love this. The best part is, you don't need to see the movies to understand the story (its a whole new story)

Trailer - HERE

That is it for my June favourites, I hope you enjoyed!
Leave me a comment with something you have been loving this summer?

Thank you for reading.

Road To Recovery Day 41: I'm Going To Belfast!

I woke up early this morning, mostly because James kept shoving and calling me! When I eventually woke up, we lay in bed and watched 50 First Dates, oldie but a goodie!

I was getting ready to go home, when James asked me if I wanted to go to Belfast at the end of the month. I could feel my anxiety welling up a little bit at the thought of traveling for close to 2 hours!
I love Belfast and I really wanted to go back, so I knew what I had to do!
I told him to book it quickly, before I started thinking of reasons and excuses for not going! And so he did, we are going for 2 nights at the end of the month!

I'm actually surprised at how excited I am! For the first time in a very long time I'm actually excited to be going on a little adventure!

I went out for a coffee with dad when he collected me, and he was even surprised at how excited and happy I was!
We bought my mam some plants because she is obsessed with her garden, I know, very random!

I needed to go to the big Tesco's to get some yogurts, which they didn't have in town yesterday. As I said before going into this Tesco, is dangerous, I always come out with way more stuff than I originatly went in for!

I came out with a full bag of shopping, I told you dangerous!!

At home, I was planning of filming a video for my channel, but I got distracted by my Playstation, again
I played that for an hour and then got bored!

I then went up to my room and started this blog post, I want to get some ready to be posted over the week because I will be working everyday again, yuck!

If you have any ideas for some posts you would like to see, leave me a comment :)

Today was good, I'm still smiling over the fact I'm going to Belfast!
I think I'm going to v-log it for my channel!
I'd say we will be shopping and we might go to the tattoo convention, which is on at the Titanic Quarter!

Road To Recovery Day 40: A Rant Over Fruit!

We are so lazy!
We woke up at 1:30pm; then again we did stay up until 4am!

I didn't waste any time, I put on a quick face, got dressed in another cute outfit (seriously loving this feeling of wanting to dress up) and headed straight into town!

I know what you're thinking, does this girl ever do anything else other than go into town everyday? and the answer is No ha ha.
I hate being stuck inside, I really do. I love to get out no matter the weather!
Unfortunately there is nothing to do in this town, that's what we always go for a coffee!

Yes you guessed it, we went for a coffee first, I got an iced mocha this time because it was actually warm out today!
I bought a fruit bowl because I hadn't had breakfast yet and I thought that would be better for me than a scone!

I had to exchange a pair of shoes for a smaller size, seriously no joke, my feet are shrinking!
In Primark, I ended up buying another pair of the same shoes just in a different colour, I liked them that much! And they were on sale, win win!

James was hungry so we went to Subway for a sandwich, I LOVE the veggie patty, so good!

We went to M&S to get some food for tonight, because we are staying in his house.
I ended up having a rant in the middle of the store, I couldn't believe how expensive it was for fruit, all I wanted to do was be healthy, but it costs me more than being unhealthy!

James thought it was the funniest thing, I just gave out about the government, they are always talking about obesity and how people should eat healthy!
They charge €4 for a small fruit salad, seriously!
They wonder why people don't eat healthy, who is going to pay €4 for a small fruit salad, why you can have a whole bag of donuts for less than €2, it just doesn't make sense!
If they really wanted people to be healthy they should make healthy options cheaper, and charge a bomb for a bar of chocolate!
That would definitely stop me from buying sweets!

Rant over, moving on

Later we went to James house, we sat with his family for a while before they went out for the evening.
We sat down and watched Netflix, well James did, I sat doing some blog work.
That was pretty much our night, I definitely need a night out with a big group of friends, I miss partying!

I had a great day today, I felt amazing and had no anxiety!
I'm still getting the headaches, but they aren't too bad!

Road To Recovery Day 39: Shopping & A Good Cry!

I sat down to do some work today, and I just couldn't focus, it was just one of those days. I decided to put everything away because there wasn't much point working when I wasn't putting 100% into it.

I decided to pamper myself instead, I had a bath and washed my hair.
I done a full face of make up and put on a really cute outfit, I was just feeling in the mood to get really dressed up!

It is late night shopping tonight, so myself and James are heading into town.
We went for a coffee first, as usual!
I bought a few beauty and clothing items which I will be posting about soon!
I found some great bargains though, I got myself two pairs of shoes for €10, not bad for a days work!

We went and done some food shopping because I'm still on my healthy buzz and I didn't want to get a take away. I got frustrated because I couldn't decide what I wanted so we ended up just buying random things!

After a while walking around my feet started to blister because I was wearing new shoes, It got so bad I had to get my dad to collect me because I couldn't walk, ha ha.

Back at mine, we ended up ordering a Chinese, I know, bye bye healthy buzz!
Well I have been good all week so it isn't going to kill me, I shared mine with my sister, just so I wouldn't over eat!

We couldn't find anything to watch on Netflix, but I found a cool mock- documentary about bullying!
It was about a young girl who was bullied in school and she tried to commit suicide. The whole movie was based around a documentary being filmed at the school during the time she tried to commit suicide. It's hard to explain, but it is definitely a must watch!!
It is called A Girl Like Her.

At the end of the movie I ended up crying my eyes out, it was so intense and so real! This stuff happens all the time, and people don't realise how bad it can be. This documentary is definitely an eye opener!
I think the reason I cried was because I was in her shoes, I was bullied for years by fellow students and even teachers!
Myself and James talked for hours after it about my experiences, and he was shocked because he didn't realise how bad it was!

Moving on, I bought a new face cleanser and I had been dying to try it all day!
Before bed I tried it out and it was AMAZING! I don't want to give too much away because I'm going to do a review on it pretty soon!

I had great fun today, shopping is always fun!
Although I had a great cry after the movie, it was good to get it out, holding things in like that is NOT good trust me, I have learnt the heard way!
There is only so much your body can take!
So remember that the next time you are holding in a well needed cry!

Road To Recovery Day 36 - 38: Quick Catch Up

Over these 3 days I didn't actually do much to be honest.
I've been working on my notebooks everyday for most of the day, so I don't really have anything to update on.
I continued watching Scream while I was working and I managed to finish all the episodes again.

One evening 2 of my friends called and we basically sat and talked about our theory's on who the killer is in the latest episodes of Scream. I love when we do this, even though most of the time we are wrong ha ha.

Iv been taken my reduced dose of my medication for 4 days now, and I have noticed a few side effects. I have been having minor headaches mostly in the evenings, but this is to be expected.

I did feel anxious one of the days, but I'm trying not think negatively about it, because I really don't want to have to stay on these tablets.
I just want to have a clear head!

I've been going to bed early, I sit in bed and read a book before going to sleep and it has been helping me to sleep better. I'm not twisting and turning like I usually would.

I apologise again for missing the updates this week, I did try to get some blogging in while I was doing work, but I just didn't have enough time.

I have also been eating better this week, I've cut out a lot of the sweets I was eating. I've been eating more fruit and veg, and most importantly, Ive been eating more regularly!
I have noticed my hernia getting more sore and uncomfortable, which means I really do need to get my weight down so it won't trouble me as much.

Next week I have to continue more work, but I will try to plan my time a bit better and do some blog post too.

Thank you for reading,

Road To Recovery Day 35: Work & A Catch Up

I have a lot of stuff to get done today, I got up early and had my usual breakfast.
As soon as I was done I sat down at my desk and started my work for the day.
I love working when there is something on in the background, so I put on the first season of Scream.

At lunch time I took a break and had something to eat, I'm terrible for forgetting to eat! I set an alarm to remind myself to take a break to have some food.
I went back to work as soon as I was done.

Around 4pm I headed into town to run some errands, I went into Starbucks on my way home and bought their new Iced Tea!
It was actually amazing, you should all try the Blackberry Mojito, it is actually so good and very refreshing!

As soon as I walked in my front door, my cousin was standing in my kitchen, the first thing he said "Do you want to go for a coffee?", I say I looked like the stressed out emoji face!

It has been a long time since I'd seen him so I went back into town to get a coffee. We went to my favourite coffee house and stayed there for about an hour, we had a great catch up.

Back at mine we both sat down and played Call of Duty online, it was actually great fun, we haven't played online together in about a year!
When he went home he went back online and we continued our game.

I decided to go to bed early, I need to get up early tomorrow to do more work. I didn't get as much done today as I was hoping.
I turned off my phone, laid down and read my book!
After an hour I could barley keep my eyes open so I went straight to sleep.

It was a great day, I enjoyed catching up with my cousin and playing Call of Duty.
I can't wait until I am completely finished this work, so I can really enjoy my free time!

Road To Recovery Day 34: Yahoooo!

Today is the big day, I have my doctor's appointment soon and I'm hoping I will be allowed to reduce the dose of my Anti-Anxiety medication.

I put on my walking runners and my tracksuit. The walk to the Doctors isn't far but it is all up hill, it will be a good work out!

The weather is pretty overcast today, but it hasn't rained, yet! The walk took me about 10 min's, which was pretty good timing!

When I went in, I explained to my doctor that I felt ready to get off the medication. I explained that I wanted to try over coming it on my own!
At first she was a bit hesitant, but after a little chat she said she could see I was ready!
I'm not stopping them straight away, I have to ween myself off them over the next 2-3 months, depending on my reaction.

I also showed her my gum and she said it wasn't infected and that it will go away on its own! phew!

I walked home with a huge smile on my face, it started to rain and I didn't care, my good mood was at 100% and nothing could ruin it.

James finished work early, so I headed into town to meet him.
I had to go get photographs printed for my Collection Look-book and I needed to get my new prescription.
After our coffee, I ended up buying a new subscription for my playstation account, I honestly just really wanted to play Call of Duty!

After we got everything we needed, we headed back to mine for dinner, mam cooked up a lovely curry. Again I'm not one for spicy food because of my stomach, but it was worth it!

I played the PS4 for a little while before dropping James home and then I chilled and watched the Kardashians.

It was a good episode and hearing Kylie and her sisters talking about their anxiety was interesting. On their social media they come across as happy and out going, but behind it all they too suffer with anxiety at times!

Today was definitely a good day!
Tomorrow I have to start some design work, so it will be a busy day for me, but if I get time I will photograph some of my work to share with you all! I am hoping to have a post up soon with my Collection Look-book, so stay tuned for that!

Tonight the laptop is being shut off early and I'm going to read a book and try go get an early nights sleep! Hopefully I will also be able to wake up early in the morning, fingers crossed!

Thank you for reading.

Road To Recover Day 33: Typical Sunday

I used to hate waking up on a Sunday morning, all that used to rush into my head was, you have to get your work done, you have college tomorrow!
Now when I wake up on a Sunday it feels great to not have those thoughts racing around my head!

I slept in again, no surprise there! My dad collected me from James house around 2pm, so when I got home I got ready, had some food and then headed out with my family.

I had to go to boots to get Medi Gel because my gum is still killing me, I really hope I don't have to go the dentist!
We done some shopping in Marks & Spenser's and then went for our usual coffee.

Sundays are usually a pretty lazy day for me, I usually just chill, watch a movie or play a game.
When I got home I sat down to play Call of Duty online. I got a notification saying my subscription was up, so I couldn't go online.
I decided to work of my blog instead, so I sat for the rest of the day just editing posts and planning some new ones.

I got into bed early and watched some YouTube videos, I tried to go to sleep early, but I got far too distracted and ended up not getting to sleep until half 1 in the morning.
I have to be up early because I have to go to the Doctors. I'm hoping she will allow me to start reducing my medication! Fingers crossed!

This was a pretty quick update, but hopefully I will have good new to share tomorrow!

Thank you for reading.

What Is In My Make-up Bag 2016

It has been a year since my last 'What Is In My Make-Up Bag' post. I thought now would be the perfect time to show you all what is in my make-up bag for 2016!
I am sure there are products in here that I am still using, this will show you how much I really love the products!

Lets get started!

1.  Bourjois Health Mix Foundation - 51 Light Vanilla

( Apologies for the appearance of this bottle!)

This is my new favourite foundation, I bought it a while ago to try it and Iv loved it ever since!
It is a medium coverage foundation but it is build-able for a more fuller coverage.
My skin can be dry at times and this foundation always looks nice even when my skin is dry.
It feels light on the skin, which is a must for me, I hate foundations that feel heavy.
I have repurchased this foundation and 2 other Bourjois foundations, so I'm looking forward to trying them also.

2.  Oriflame The One 5-in-1 Wonder Lash Mascara - Waterproof

I purchased a mascara from The One collection from Oriflame and I loved it so much. When I seen they had brought out a similar version in a waterproof formula I had to buy it!
I love the wand as it has thin short and long plastic bristles. When I buy mascaras the wand has to be plastic, I don't like mascaras with spoolies.
The formula of this mascara is thin in consistency, I personally dislike thick formula's, as they clump up my lashes.
I was wearing this mascara the last time I cried, it is waterproof to some extent but because of the amount of crying, I did have some product fall out, but not as much as I would have with a non-waterproof mascara.

3. Essence Lipstick - 11 Nude Love

If you have read my recent Pink Lipstick Collection post you will know of my love for essence lipsticks.
Honestly I am almost 100% sure I have one in several of my well used handbags!
They are cheap and cheerful and they are a great wear. They may not last on the lips for a long period, but they are easily touched up.
This nude shade is my favourite from their nude collection, it is the perfect nude for my skin tone, it is not too light and not too dark.

4.  Rimmel Brow This Way - Dark

This product is a reoccurring favourite, Iv been using this product for a while now, and no matter what new eyebrow products I try I always come back to this, eventually.
I only ever use the cream pan, I never actually use the powder, I find the powder to be too loose and it can make my brows too severe. I find it much easier to control the cream.
I have been trying other eyebrow products lately, but I'm sure I will end up using this again very soon.

5. Benefit They're Real! Tinted Primer

This is a sample I got free in a magazine, and to be honest, I don't really see the point in an eyelash primer.
I used it once with my mascara and I didn't see anything different.
I wore it on its own one day, when I wasn't going anywhere and it was quite nice on the lashes.
I wouldn't purchase the full size, just because it is pricey and I couldn't see the benefit of it.

6.  Essence - Kajal Pencil - Black

Lets be honest here, Essence lip liners and eye liners are definitely something to write home about!
They are so affordable and they have a nice selection, I have several and when I say several, I mean I have one of each lip and eye pencils colours.
The pigment is amazing with a creamy texture. They many not last all day, but they definitely do the job!

7.  Kardashians Khroma Lip Lacquer - Love Hangover

I have 3 of these Kardashians Lip Lacquers and I LOVE them! They are the most creamiest lipsticks I have ever used and the colour pay of is fantastic!
I have a nude, nude pink (no idea why it wasn't in my Pink Lipstick Collection post) and a fuchsia Pink.
They have a sweet scent off them, which reminds me of the scent of M.A.C lipsticks.
There used to be 2 stores in my town that sold these products and they both got rid of the stand, devastated.
To be honest I'm not sure if the Khroma line has been discontinued, because I haven't been able to find a website to buy from, that is available in Ireland.

8.  Essence Make Me Brow

Another amazing beauty from Essence!
I know this is a knock off of the Gimme brow by Benefit, but this little beaut is unbelievably amazing and is a fraction of the price!
I'm almost out of this product, so I will definitely be repurchasing this, and I can guarantee this will be in my next What Is In My Make-Up Bag!

9.  Collection Contour Kit - Highlight & Sculpt

This product is a relatively new addition to my make up bag.
I bought it in boots when they had a discount on the Collection stand, I just wanted to give it a try as it was a new product.
It has definitely replaced my Sleek Contouring Kit. The bronzer goes really nice with my skin tone, it isn't mucky and it isn't dark.
I have recently moved away from the bronzer, as I have been using my Blank Canvas Cosmetics Palette.
The highlight from the Collection palette, I have been using constantly. For me personally it is a perfect highlight shade, and when the sun catches it, it looks so natural!

10. Bourjois Healthy Balance Matte Powder - 52 Vanilla

This product is a god send!
I never used to set my foundation, ever. But after seeing a fellow Irish YouTuber rave about this product, I just had to try it!
I ended up buying a darker shade by accident, it is only one shade up from my actual shade, so it didn't make much of a difference.
I love this product so much, I think it makes my foundation look flawless and it adds a little more coverage too.
I used to hate powders because they felt heavy and cakey on my face, but this one is light and makes your face feel so smooth!
I recently hit pan, so I will have to repurchase it, and I think this time I will get the right shade!

11. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Light 1

I don't think this baby needs an introduction! This concealer has a HUGE following, so huge that every time I go to repurchase it, it is sold out!
Iv been using this concealer for a LONG time now, I'd say I have went through at least 6 tubes of this!
It is such an amazing product for the price of €5.79, I will definitely continue to use this, as they say, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'

12. Simple Kind To Eye Soothing Eye Balm

My under eyes have been very dark the past year and they have also gotten so dry. Every time I put make up under my eye it would cake up and look really creased. I only ever used an eye cream once before, but I forgot all about it and it had to be thrown away.
I picked this up in boots when it was on offer, because I wasn't sure how my sensitive skin would react to it. I was pleasantly surprised when it didn't cause me any problems. I use it just before I put on make up so my concealer will go on smoothly and it has worked well for me.
I also love putting it on at night, as it is so cooling on the under eyes!
I keep it in my make up bag, so when I'm sitting down to put my face on, I will see it and remember to put it on. I have a tendency to forget these things!

13. Collection Primed & Ready Primer Powered by Witch

Another member of the Collection family, I'm starting to see a pattern here!
I spotted this primer a few months back and I was intrigued by the fact it had Witch hazel in it.
I used to always use Witch products when I had really bad break outs and they always done me well.
When I seen this primer with Witch Hazel I thought to myself, this has to be good!
I use this every time I am putting make up on, and I have honestly noticed a difference in my skin. I would always break out when I wore make up for too long, but ever since I started using this, my break outs haven't been as severe as they used to be.
The only thing I don't like about this primer is the greasy texture, but I would definitely look past this negative point.

14. Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara

This mascara is probably one of my only favourite mascaras that does not have a plastic brush.
I first tried this mascara almost 2 years ago, and it became my new favourite. But for some reason I never repurchased it, until recently and now I remember why I loved it so much. It makes my lashes look so long and full, I love it so much I completely look past the fact it has a spoolie brush!

Road To Recovery Day 32: A Day In Town

I was up until 4am last night, so as you can imagine I woke up very late today!
As in 2pm, yuck!
As soon as I got up, I had to alter an outfit for a friend, so I got that done first and then had breakfast.

While I was getting ready, Dani arrived at my house, I got dressed as quick as I could and then we all headed into town for the day.

The first stop was coffee, of course!
We sat on the rooftop terrace because the weather was nice, that only lasted 5 minutes. We were sitting having a great chat about our channels and blogs and then the rain started, it was torrential!
Even though there was a roof over us we could still feel the rain hitting us, we ended up moving back inside where it was warm and dry!

After about 20 mins the rain stopped and we headed off into Penny's. Dani wanted to try get a diary and we thought Penny's might have some, but they didn't unfortunately. I ended up buying the new skin glow serum, I wouldn't be pushed on Penny's skin care but I'm open minded and decided to give it a try.

We headed to Boots, I needed to return the foundation's I bought the other day, they were far too dark for my skin tone.
I replaced them with 3 of the Bourjois foundations. Which I am planning to do a review on.

Before heading home we went to Dealz, Dani still hadn't found a diary and we knew Dealz would have some.
We both bought diaries, and for €1.50 you can't go wrong! We both have an obsession with stationary!

We chilled in my house for a little while longer before Dani had to head home.
I decided to stay in James house tonight for a change. We had planned to start watching Game of Thrones, I've never seen it before and everyone keeps telling me to start!

I packed my laptop and notebooks, because I wanted to get a new blog post up (my pink lipstick collection).

We ended up not watching Game of Thrones, I worked on my blog for most of the evening and then we just watched TV and Family Guy.

It was great seeing Dani again, we are going to organise another day out soon.
Today was another great day, just being with friends and working on my blog!
It is the little things in life that do make a difference!

Road To Recovery Day 31: Spontaneity, Yes Please!

Thankfully the pain in my back was gone when I woke up this morning, but my legs still hurt, I will survive!

Today I woke up a little later, but I didn't mind too much. I had my breakfast and jumped straight into some work.

It's amazing, I've been working on my blog for about a month now and already I notice a difference in my mood. I feel a lot more positive and genuinely happy!
The fact that I have been focusing my attention on doing things I love has helped me to push past college and how it made me feel.

Today is pretty much going to be my usual Friday, I will be meeting James in town for a coffee and he will most likely stay in mine.
Although I love our routines, I feel like I need to push myself to do different things (I have probably said this before!).

The book I read last night is actually a book on anxiety, it helps the reader to understand their anxiety and how to take steps to overcome it. One of the steps was to push yourself out of your comfort zone and do something different, basically trying to be spontaneous.

I honestly can't remember the last time I was spontaneous. When I was younger I would do things in the spur of the moment, but now, now I have to plan in advance.
To be honest I hate planning occasions, for example a night out, planning makes you excited about going out and you have all these expectations on how it will go and it never goes as plan. Whereas when you do something in the spur of the moment they always end up more fun! (I hope that makes sense)

I miss being spontaneous, so hopefully I can start getting back to that old me, taking baby steps of course, ha ha don't want to shock myself!

What is your opinion, do you like to be spontaneous? or do you prefer to plan?

Today's post wasn't much of an update, more like a little chat. I just thought it would be nice to change it up a little bit. Basically today was pretty much the same as every other Friday.

I do feel good though, I love taking a step back and just looking at the bigger picture, asking how I'm feeling, do I seem different?
And my answer is yes, I have noticed things that have changed since I left college.
I have begun to take pride in my appearance again, something that I really lost when I was in college. I barely ever done my make up, even on weekends I just wasn't bothered!
I would wear the same 3-4 outfits and I would never mix it up or even try!
But now, now I'm thinking of new looks I could try, and it feels amazing to be back to that already!

I'm happy, and to be honest it is about time!

Road To Recovery Day 30: The Pain!!

The pain!!
I definitely think I over done it yesterday, my legs and lower back are so sore!
I woke up early this morning, but I felt like I hadn't slept at all, my eyes were so heavy and I was just so weak.
I had my breakfast and lay on the sofa with a coffee watching Friends, I was hoping the coffee would give me a kick. It didn't, I continued to feel wrecked until about 2pm.

I managed to get up and get dressed, so I would be ready to meet James at 5pm.
When I was ready, I sat down and edited some of my blog posts.
I was happy to get some work done, I even had time to take photographs for 2 other posts.
It was a pretty productive day, even though it didn't really start until half 2pm.

I got a lift into town because it was lashing rain, I met James at the coffee shop, where we also met our friend, we were there until closing.

Later we went over to the shopping centre, I wanted to have a look at the Topshop sale, I didn't find anything unfortunately.
Before heading home we went to Marks & Spencers, and bought food for our dinner.

James cooked the dinner today, mainly because I couldn't stand for much longer because of my back.
He cooked us pasta with a spicy tomato sauce and garlic bread, I'm not usually a lover of spicy food but it was actually nice!

When James went home, I ran myself a hot bath hoping it would help my back. I relaxed in the bath for about an hour and then got straight into bed.
I was pretty tired so I turned off my phone and laptop. I was going to go straight asleep but I decided to read a book first.

Today was a good day, I was in a good mood, once I actually had energy!
My friend Dani also text me saying she would be down on Saturday, I'm looking forward to seeing her and hanging out.

Thank you for reading.

Pink Lipstick Collection

Pink lipsticks have always been my go to when I do my make up. I personally love pink shades for my everyday make up looks, I find they are the safest option and when they start to fade off they don't look patchy.
This post is a collection of my personal favourite pink lipsticks, with a mixture of different formula's.

1.  Sleek Matte Me - Petal

I have loved matte lipsticks ever since they hit the market, and the Sleek Matte Me lip creams where the first I purchased.
I love the nude shades, but the Petal shade was definitely my favourite.

I found this shade looked really nice with my skin tone and it was quite subtle.
The only thing I didn't like about this lip cream was how dry it made my lips, but that is the case with most matte formula's.
When this product started to fade off my lips, it didn't look as noticeable as darker shades.

2.  P.s. Love. Matte Long Last Lipstick - Pink

I had a bad experience with the P.S range by Primark/Pennys. I bought 1 lipstick to try it out and when I opened the packaging the lipstick had a very bad smell, as if it was gone off.
I refused to buy any more of them, until my friend told me she had bought loads and they were fine.

I decided to give them another go and I bought a new one. This time I had much better luck and I loved it, the shade was perfect and the formula was also really nice. Another positive thing I found with this lipstick is it is not as drying as other matte formula's.

3.  Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer

Keep Crying For You

Makeup Revolution recently came to my town, and to say I was excited would have been an understatement!
The first thing that caught my eye was their Lip Lacquers, I loved all the shades they had, but I only bought 2 to try them before I bought more.
This shade is quite vibrant and I would only wear it when I am feeling daring. It reminded me of M.A.C's Retro Matte Lip colour in Personal Statement.

When I tried them for the first time my first impressions where quite positive, they were highly pigmented and a little went a long way.
After wearing it for a while it began to peal and go patchy, which is a pet peeve of mine. I couldn't top it up because of all the peeling, I would have to wipe it off and put on a fresh coat.
I'm not sure if I would purchase more of them, but I do really like the shades they have, so who knows I might end up buying more.

4.  Make Up Gallery All About The Pout

Fuschia Pink & Natural Pink

This lipstick is from Dealz make up range called the Make Up Galley. I picked up a few of the lipsticks to give them a try and for €1.50 they are not bad.

The colour pay off isn't amazing but the formula is comfortable to wear. I did pick up more shades as I thought they would be perfect for everyday wear when I'm not going anywhere but just want to do my make up.

The natural pink shade is my favourite from their collection, it is subtle and I love pairing it with a brown smokey eye.
For €1.50 you can't go wrong, they are good for such a cheap price.

5.  Wet n Wild Mega Last - Dollhouse Pink

I LOVE the Wet n Wild Lipsticks, they have so many amazing shades and the formula is comfortable to wear. Dollhouse Pink was the first lipstick I bought from Wet n Wild, I loved how bright and bold the colour was.

The pigments of the lipsticks are amazing for the cheap price of €2.99.
I love wearing this with a really simple eye look, so the lipstick would stand out even more.

6.  L'Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive - Julianne's Nude

This lipstick is by far my favourite pink from my collection. I always reached for it when I was getting ready for college.

Not only do I love the shade, but the formula of this lipstick is just amazing, it is very comfortable to wear. When it starts to come off it doesn't look obvious and it is easy to just top up. If I am going on a weekend break or holiday, this lipstick is always in my bag.
These lipsticks are more pricey, at €10.49, but they are definitely worth it!

7.  Essence - Love Me

I have always liked the Essence's lipsticks, they are cheap and cheerful!
I have a good selection of them in my make up collection.
I find these to be quite creamy and the colour pay off is also quite good, especially in the light shades such as this pink.

This shade is quite similar to the L'Oreal Julianne's nude, it is just slightly darker.

8.  Ted Baker - Pink

This lipstick came in a pack of 3, in the pack there was a nude, pink and a red.
I find the formula of these to be very creamy, almost too creamy. The nude shade ended up melting slightly but it is still wearable.
They are very moisturising on the lips and the colour pay off is good!

As you can tell this pink is very similar to the L'Oreal pink. I honestly love this shade, it is bright but subtle!
I love natural pinks for my everyday make up. I noticed recently I have been reaching for this lipstick and the nude version more than any of my other lipsticks.

9.  No.7 Stay Perfect Lipstick- Classic Rose

No.7 lipsticks are also a favourite of mine. The colour pigment is amazing and they are very long lasting.
The only thing I find with these lipsticks is they can be quite drying on the lips.

These lipsticks are also quite expensive at €14.00. Boots regularly have No.7 vouchers for €4.50 off make up and this would be the best time to purchase their products.
The lipsticks are very good quality and I do think they are worth the money.
They don't have a huge selection of colours but they do have some nice ones.

That is my collection of pink lipsticks, leave me a comment with the one you like most or the one you like least!
If you have any recommendations of lipsticks I should add to my collection do let me know.

Thank you for reading.
