It has been a year since my last 'What Is In My Make-Up Bag' post. I thought now would be the perfect time to show you all what is in my make-up bag for 2016!
I am sure there are products in here that I am still using, this will show you how much I really love the products!
Lets get started!
1. Bourjois Health Mix Foundation - 51 Light Vanilla
This is my new favourite foundation, I bought it a while ago to try it and Iv loved it ever since!
It is a medium coverage foundation but it is build-able for a more fuller coverage.
My skin can be dry at times and this foundation always looks nice even when my skin is dry.
It feels light on the skin, which is a must for me, I hate foundations that feel heavy.
I have repurchased this foundation and 2 other Bourjois foundations, so I'm looking forward to trying them also.
2. Oriflame The One 5-in-1 Wonder Lash Mascara - Waterproof
I purchased a mascara from The One collection from Oriflame and I loved it so much. When I seen they had brought out a similar version in a waterproof formula I had to buy it!
I love the wand as it has thin short and long plastic bristles. When I buy mascaras the wand has to be plastic, I don't like mascaras with spoolies.
The formula of this mascara is thin in consistency, I personally dislike thick formula's, as they clump up my lashes.
I was wearing this mascara the last time I cried, it is waterproof to some extent but because of the amount of crying, I did have some product fall out, but not as much as I would have with a non-waterproof mascara.
3. Essence Lipstick - 11 Nude Love
If you have read my recent Pink Lipstick Collection post you will know of my love for essence lipsticks.
Honestly I am almost 100% sure I have one in several of my well used handbags!
They are cheap and cheerful and they are a great wear. They may not last on the lips for a long period, but they are easily touched up.
This nude shade is my favourite from their nude collection, it is the perfect nude for my skin tone, it is not too light and not too dark.
4. Rimmel Brow This Way - Dark
This product is a reoccurring favourite, Iv been using this product for a while now, and no matter what new eyebrow products I try I always come back to this, eventually.
I only ever use the cream pan, I never actually use the powder, I find the powder to be too loose and it can make my brows too severe. I find it much easier to control the cream.
I have been trying other eyebrow products lately, but I'm sure I will end up using this again very soon.
5. Benefit They're Real! Tinted Primer
This is a sample I got free in a magazine, and to be honest, I don't really see the point in an eyelash primer.
I used it once with my mascara and I didn't see anything different.
I wore it on its own one day, when I wasn't going anywhere and it was quite nice on the lashes.
I wouldn't purchase the full size, just because it is pricey and I couldn't see the benefit of it.
6. Essence - Kajal Pencil - Black
Lets be honest here, Essence lip liners and eye liners are definitely something to write home about!
They are so affordable and they have a nice selection, I have several and when I say several, I mean I have one of each lip and eye pencils colours.
The pigment is amazing with a creamy texture. They many not last all day, but they definitely do the job!
7. Kardashians Khroma Lip Lacquer - Love Hangover
I have 3 of these Kardashians Lip Lacquers and I LOVE them! They are the most creamiest lipsticks I have ever used and the colour pay of is fantastic!
I have a nude, nude pink (no idea why it wasn't in my Pink Lipstick Collection post) and a fuchsia Pink.
They have a sweet scent off them, which reminds me of the scent of M.A.C lipsticks.
There used to be 2 stores in my town that sold these products and they both got rid of the stand, devastated.
To be honest I'm not sure if the Khroma line has been discontinued, because I haven't been able to find a website to buy from, that is available in Ireland.
8. Essence Make Me Brow
Another amazing beauty from Essence!
I know this is a knock off of the Gimme brow by Benefit, but this little beaut is unbelievably amazing and is a fraction of the price!
I'm almost out of this product, so I will definitely be repurchasing this, and I can guarantee this will be in my next What Is In My Make-Up Bag!
9. Collection Contour Kit - Highlight & Sculpt
This product is a relatively new addition to my make up bag.
I bought it in boots when they had a discount on the Collection stand, I just wanted to give it a try as it was a new product.
It has definitely replaced my Sleek Contouring Kit. The bronzer goes really nice with my skin tone, it isn't mucky and it isn't dark.
I have recently moved away from the bronzer, as I have been using my Blank Canvas Cosmetics Palette.
The highlight from the Collection palette, I have been using constantly. For me personally it is a perfect highlight shade, and when the sun catches it, it looks so natural!
10. Bourjois Healthy Balance Matte Powder - 52 Vanilla
This product is a god send!
I never used to set my foundation, ever. But after seeing a fellow Irish YouTuber rave about this product, I just had to try it!
I ended up buying a darker shade by accident, it is only one shade up from my actual shade, so it didn't make much of a difference.
I love this product so much, I think it makes my foundation look flawless and it adds a little more coverage too.
I used to hate powders because they felt heavy and cakey on my face, but this one is light and makes your face feel so smooth!
I recently hit pan, so I will have to repurchase it, and I think this time I will get the right shade!
11. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Light 1
I don't think this baby needs an introduction! This concealer has a HUGE following, so huge that every time I go to repurchase it, it is sold out!
Iv been using this concealer for a LONG time now, I'd say I have went through at least 6 tubes of this!
It is such an amazing product for the price of €5.79, I will definitely continue to use this, as they say, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'
12. Simple Kind To Eye Soothing Eye Balm
My under eyes have been very dark the past year and they have also gotten so dry. Every time I put make up under my eye it would cake up and look really creased. I only ever used an eye cream once before, but I forgot all about it and it had to be thrown away.
I picked this up in boots when it was on offer, because I wasn't sure how my sensitive skin would react to it. I was pleasantly surprised when it didn't cause me any problems. I use it just before I put on make up so my concealer will go on smoothly and it has worked well for me.
I also love putting it on at night, as it is so cooling on the under eyes!
I keep it in my make up bag, so when I'm sitting down to put my face on, I will see it and remember to put it on. I have a tendency to forget these things!
13. Collection Primed & Ready Primer Powered by Witch
Another member of the Collection family, I'm starting to see a pattern here!
I spotted this primer a few months back and I was intrigued by the fact it had Witch hazel in it.
I used to always use Witch products when I had really bad break outs and they always done me well.
When I seen this primer with Witch Hazel I thought to myself, this has to be good!
I use this every time I am putting make up on, and I have honestly noticed a difference in my skin. I would always break out when I wore make up for too long, but ever since I started using this, my break outs haven't been as severe as they used to be.
The only thing I don't like about this primer is the greasy texture, but I would definitely look past this negative point.
14. Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara
This mascara is probably one of my only favourite mascaras that does not have a plastic brush.
I first tried this mascara almost 2 years ago, and it became my new favourite. But for some reason I never repurchased it, until recently and now I remember why I loved it so much. It makes my lashes look so long and full, I love it so much I completely look past the fact it has a spoolie brush!
That is all the products I keep in my make-up bag, I definitely see some familiar faces that have been in my past posts.
I hope you enjoyed this post, leave me a comment if you have any of these products in your make up bag!
Thank you for reading.
Love,
Tanya
