It may be the end of May but its the beginning of the Summer!! YAY!
Iv been looking forward to doing another favourites post so here it is, I hope you all enjoy reading :D
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
My first favourite of the month is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I started using M.A.C foundation about 4 months ago and when I went to use my drug store foundation I found it wouldn't go on my skin nicely, Iv no idea why, but iv been trying a few and I honestly couldn't find a decent drugstore foundation, until I found this beauty in my sisters make up bag. I love this foundation because it gives me a nice coverage and doesn't cake or go patchy on my face like others Ive tried. It feels quite light on the face I don't feel like I'm wearing foundation so it will definitely be my go to foundation for the summer. The shade I am using is 100 Ivory, I done a little swatch test on my arm to compare the shade to my M.A.C foundation and they are almost the same which is a plus. My M.A.C foundation is starting to run out so I am trying to keep it for special occasions because its slightly expensive and the wake me up foundation is more than half the price, coming in at €10.99.
Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer
My next favourite is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, I bought this a little while ago just to try it out and I just love it I actually replaced my M.A.C concealer with this one. I bought it in the shade 1.Fair, the reason I bought the light one was to try it as a highlighter under the eyes (Kim Kardashian Style) and it does just that, its not too thick and not to runny which I love because it is much easier to blend. The only downside to this concealer is if you use too much under the eyes it does crease but with this concealer a little goes a long way. I do apologise for the image, the logo and name has worn away which is kind of annoying but I'll live. I don't have the exact price for this concealer but as far as I know it was around €5.00, which is affordable for those of us on a budget, and I honestly do recommend it to anyone looking for a affordable concealer.
Oriflame The One Volume Blast Mascara
I purchased this mascara along with another Oriflame mascara a short time ago, some of you may of seen my review of them here on my blog. Iv been using this mascara since I bought it and I swear I just love it so much! It has a wax boost system which I haven't seen before in a mascara, and it really does boost your lashes, Check out my review of the products there are before and after images of this product on my lashes. This mascara lasts all day and it doesn't flake on to my face after an hour of wearing it or make my lashes go clumpy. This mascara is €12.45 which isn't too expensive for a mascara but it is worth every penny.
Hair Care
TRESemme Expert Collection Keratin Smooth Shampoo & Conditioner
I bought this product a few weeks ago, mainly to try it out for you guys and do a 'Does it actually work' post, and I'm still going to do it. I am terrible for straightening my hair, I straighten it everyday even when I don't wash it, as you can imagine it was destroying my hair. So I got this to see if it actually works, Its says it keeps your hair straight for up to 4 washes, I am not going to give if it works or not because I'm going to do a big review for you all very soon. In the review I will have before and after pictures and pictures of my hair after every wash so you can see for your self the difference (if any). Another product I bought along with the shampoo and conditioner is the actual Keratin Treatment. This treatment requires one application once a week, and is suppose to keep you hair smooth for up to a week (4 washes) These products cost €7.50 each, but at the time I got them it was 3 for 2 in boots. I will have the review soon for you guys, but yes its another favourite for the month especially the shampoo and conditioner because they smell so good and they leave your hair so soft.
Skin Care
No7 Beautiful Skin Purifying Exfoliator
I love No7 skin care products and iv been using them for a long time now, but this product is a new one that I bought recently and it is extremely good. It is for normal to oily skin. I love this exfoliator because it is gentle on the skin unlike others I have tried that felt like rubbing sandpaper on my skin!, when I first tried it I didn't think it was doing any exfoliating but after I was finished the difference in the skin was amazing it was so soft and straight away I could see a difference in my pores. I use this product twice a week and I swear by it now, its just amazing. It is expensive at €10.50 for a 75ml bottle but it is worth it, when I bought it I had a No7 voucher which got me €6.50 off it so I only paid €4.00, Delighted! The No7 vouchers you get in Boots have to be the best thing ever, at the moment I have 5 No7 vouchers that get me €6.50 off skin care and €4.00 off No7 make up, I take full advantage of these because the No7 skin care ranges can be quite expensive.
No7 Beautiful Skin Blemish Defence Serum
Another new No7 product I bought was the Beautiful Skin Blemish Defence Serum, because I love No7 so much I decided to try this product and see if it would help with my blemishes, I have only been using it a week and a half but I can already see a difference in my skin and noticed my blemishes fading! The only two things I dislike about this product is 1. it is extremely runny, I wasn't expecting it to be so watery and when I pumped it on my hand the first time it ran straight off and 2. is the price it was €20.00 for a 30ml bottle which is A LOT of money, but again I used my €6.50 off voucher. After Ive used it for a while I will do a review and let you all know if it is worth the money.
No7 Lift & Luminate Day Cream
My mam got a No7 gift box at Christmas which included this No7 day cream, I seen it in her room recently and she wasn't using it so I said 'hey' lets not let it go to waste so I gave it ago. Iv been using it a lot recently and I prefer it to the regular No7 day cream, it gives a nice bright glow to the skin, and when you apply your make up after it it give it a nice Dewey finish. I really do love this product but I don't think I will be repurchasing it any time soon mainly because of the price, this day cream cost €30.50 which I think is just mad for such a small amount of product that would be used everyday.
TV show of the Month
Playing House
My favourite show this month has to be Playing House, it is a comedy show based around a single mother to be and her bestfriend, who recently moved back from China to help her raise her baby. Anyone who likes a bit of a laugh it is definitely one to watch!
Song of the Month
All Saints - Pure Shores
Ahh nothing like the sound of the 90s, I recently found this gem on YouTube and it brought back so many memories from my childhood, and Ive been listening to it on repeat all month (listening to it as I write this!).
Movie Of The Month
Last Vegas
I rented this out recently and I honestly didn't think I would like it, but I swear I haven't laughed so much in ages! It was an amazing movie and they all played their parts so well, This movie really shows you that you are never too old to party! It is definitely one to watch!
